AN ALL-WOMEN SKI FILM
ADVICE FOR GIRLS
Advice for Girls showcases the collective experience of women in the industry and celebrates the way we are changing the sport for the better. Inspired by the poem by Addy Jacobsend, the film is an anthem that inspires women of all ages to take up space in the ski industry. The cast in Advice for Girls will be the big sisters you never had in the ski industry.
KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!
There is still a huge pay gap for women and female participation in the sport is at a 10 year low at 37%. The time to make this film is now, however, we need your help to close the gap and pay our crew fairly. Even with sponsor support, we are short funding. Consider supporting the project on Kickstarter. Thank you!
ADVICE FOR GIRLS
Be loud, and confident
Show them what you’re capable of
Stop saying sorry
And start saying don’t underestimate me
The poem by Addy Jacobsend
Never ignore your gut feeling
Trying to impress others
But don't put limits on yourself
Because girl,
You are capable of
so much more than you think
Wear makeup
And take selfies
Wear black on black
or pink and teal
or both
or neither
and wear your hair
the way that you like it
Help out other girls
Push each other to improve
Be vocal about things that need change
And fight for representation
Stop pushing yourself too far
And start saying
I need a break
